We remember
We remember with gratitude those women of the Williams Bay Women’s Civic League that combined their talents and energy to create a women’s organization dedicated to helping enhance the lives of the youth in our community.
The Williams Bay Women’s Civic League remains strong, ever changing with the times, but still retaining those original principals and ideals.
Our violet
Voted by Wisconsin school children on Arbor day in 1909, the violet would later go on to become the official state flower of Wisconsin in 1949, approximately one year after the Williams Bay Women’s Civic League was established.
A violet is often seen as a symbol of unwavering love, loyalty, modesty, humility, and promise of faithfulness. As well as representing friendship amongst women.
Blue represents wisdom, knowledge, creativity, security, calmness, and peace.
Combined this blue violet serves as coat of arms for the Williams Bay Women’s Civic League, as we serve our community youth.
